Acting is primarily empathy, the ability to share someone else’s feelings. Whereas it is usually considered inconvenient to showcase emotions in public, when you act it is the exact opposite – actors feel safe to experiment with emotions as they know they will not be judged. Through the dramatic process, the lines between your character’s feelings and yours become blurred, leading to a stronger understanding of emotions through exploration.
Understanding yourself leads to embracing and accepting yourself.
