Written by Ivan Verunica, Without Hamlet is the story of Nina and Vesna, two struggling young playwrights from a city much like Rijeka, who want to stage Shakespeare but can’t quite manage to find an actor who is going to be good enough to play Hamlet. Their solution? Do the play without him. With the help of an improbable manager and his troop of actors, a quirky neighbour, a former movie-star, and a diva in the making, Nina and Vesna do their best to find the right balance between fact and fiction, only to be interrupted by a very unexpected guest…
